Pennisetum Advena Rubrum - 14cm

Pennisetum advena Rubrum is an ornamental grass grown for its arching burgundy-purple foliage and soft bottlebrush-like flower heads. It adds movement, colour and fine texture to sunny borders, mass plantings and large containers, contrasting especially well with green foliage and flowering perennials. The clumping habit creates a strong seasonal feature without the visual weight of a woody shrub. It is particularly effective in contemporary, tropical-style and mixed gardens where the foliage can move in the breeze and the flower plumes can be backlit by low sun.
