Leucadendron Salignum Red Countess - 20cm

Leucadendron salignum 'Red Countess' is an evergreen shrub selected for richly coloured red bracts and attractive narrow foliage. The seasonal colour creates a bold feature in sunny garden beds and works especially well in native, Mediterranean and protea-style landscapes. It can be grown as a specimen, repeated through a mixed planting or used where foliage and stems may be cut for arrangements. The plant provides useful structure throughout the year and generally remains most attractive when lightly pruned after the main display. Excellent drainage and a low-phosphorus feeding regime are important for reliable long-term performance.
