Hibbertia Scandens - 20cm

Hibbertia scandens, commonly called snake vine or golden guinea vine, is an Australian native climber with glossy foliage and bright yellow flowers. It can be trained over fences and trellises, allowed to scramble through informal plantings or used as a vigorous groundcover where there is room for stems to spread. Mature growth can extend several metres, so it is best used where a strong climbing or trailing plant is actually wanted. The evergreen foliage provides useful coverage between flowering periods, while the flowers add a clear seasonal lift to native and coastal-style landscapes.
